Celebrate Cinco de Mayo aboard the Nickel Plate Express with a festive, family-friendly train ride everyone can enjoy. This 90-minute round-trip takes place aboard our vintage train cars, with seating in our Diamond Class booths and Platinum Class tables.
Your ticket includes the full train ride experience plus Lotería, a simple craft, non-alcoholic refreshments, and a sweet treat served during the ride. There will be no additional food or beverages available for purchase on this experience, so everything included with your ticket is provided onboard.
This ride is designed to be fun, easygoing, and welcoming for all ages while still enjoying the timeless charm of traveling by historic train.
Please note that every passenger must have a ticket and their own seat. Because this ride uses reserved booth and table seating, all guests, including infants and young children, must be ticketed. Lap children are not permitted. To ride, each passenger must have both a valid ticket and an assigned seat.

We cannot guarantee that separately purchased reservations will be seated together. Buying together is the best option.
Will our seats be assigned?
Yes. Seats are assigned at time of ticket purchase.
Will we have a private table or booth?
Not always. Unless all seats at a table or booth are purchased, your group may be seated with other passengers.
Are there bathrooms on the train?
Yes. Restrooms are available onboard. As with most historic railcars, they are simple and utilitarian.
Is parking available?
Yes. Parking is available at Hobbs Station.
When should we arrive?
We recommend arriving about 30 minutes before departure. Boarding begins about 15 minutes before the train leaves.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before the 12:30 PM departure for parking, check-in, and boarding; seating is assigned at purchase and the train departs on time.Special requirements
Children must remain with an adult at all times. Guests with mobility concerns should contact the operator prior to purchasing tickets to understand train boarding and seating conditions.
Restrictions
No outside food or alcohol permitted. Seating is located on the second level and requires climbing stairs; train cars are not wheelchair accessible. Missed departures are not eligible for rescheduling or refunds.
