PRIVATE CABOOSE RIDE

What is it? Up to a 45-minute ride in our charming little red caboose. The caboose seats up to 25 people. It is the perfect choice for a summer birthday party or celebration. The caboose will take passengers over the White River in downtown Noblesville and then head back north for the remainder of the ride. A small table located within the caboose allows for set up of refreshments and food. The little red caboose boards out of Forest Park in Noblesville, IN and are round trip.

From birthday parties to anniversaries, a private ride on the little red caboose is sure to be a memorable experience.

What dates are available? Choose from already scheduled dates listed on our buy tickets now page! A time will be added to the day for your event!

What is the cost? Private caboose rentals are just $400 for a 45-minute trip!

What can I add?

Food: The Nickel Plate Express can work with local and reputable caterers to offer your guests an amazing experience. Options include a boxed lunch, charcuterie boxes, desserts and more.

Picnic Shelter: To extend the celebration, reserve the Nickel Plate picnic shelter located just outside our depot station. A 2-hour rental for the picnic shelter starts at just $50.

PRIVATE TRAIN CHARTER

What is it? A two hour ride on our 1956 train for up to 222 people. Guests can sit in our dining car and roomy reserved coach seating. Excursions board out of Noblesville, IN and are round trip.

What dates are available? Pick a time! For a private charter, the train leaves any date or time that you choose Monday-Sunday and April-August. Limited availability through the Fall and Christmas season.

What is the cost? It is a $2,500 flat fee to take the train out for a two-hour cruise.

What extras can I add?

Food: The Nickel Plate Express can work with local and reputable caterers to offer your guests everything from brunch to appetizers and dinner on board the train.

Drinks: With a full service bar, we can offer wine, beer and spirits to guests. Both cash and cards are accepted. Please make any specific drink requests two weeks prior to your event. We are happy to set up wine tastings, beer tastings or bourbon tastings for your team!

Trips to Cicero, Arcadia and Atlanta: Extend your two-hour ride by stopping in one of these three charming towns.

Cicero offers great dining options along Morse Lake. Let the train drop you off while you enjoy a bite at 10 West, DeLullo’s or the Boathouse Kitchen and Swan Dive.

Arcadia allows you to tour the historic 150-year-old Arcadia train depot. Learn about local and railroad history through story panels and interactive telegraph activities.

Atlanta is the midwest’s train town! Tour the haunted Rhodes Hotel or tour Mr. Muffin’s majestic model train layout before enjoying a meal at the Choo Choo Cafe.

The Noblesville Square- Or, let the train drop you off in the heart of Noblesville for dinner at Matteo’s or for wine and canvas at Caravan Classes.

RESERVING A PRIVATE CAR

What is it? Reserve a private car on our 1956 train for up to 68 people!

What dates are available? Choose from already scheduled dates and times listed on our buy tickets page! A private car must be booked on a date and time when the train is already leaving the station.

What is the cost? The cost is $1,200
