Take the train to a small-town fall market!

Spend a fall day in the picturesque small town of Arcadia! Kick back and enjoy a relaxing, historic train ride from Hobbs Station in Noblesville to the Arcadia train depot. Enjoy a fall cocktail, beer or wine while enjoying the scenery during the 35-minute ride through Northern Hamilton County.

Once in Arcadia, passengers will disembark to enjoy the small town Arcadia Fall Festival including a historic car and scooter show. Stop by the local coffee shop or brewery for a special treat, do some shopping and tour the historic Arcadia depot before boarding the train to return to Hobbs Station.

Your train ride for the day is 35 minutes to Arcadia and 35 minutes to Noblesville. Passengers will have 90 minutes to enjoy the fall festival before returning to the train.

What to Expect

This special excursion is designed to be a relaxed fall outing for friends, couples, and families. The experience begins at Hobbs Station in Forest Park in Noblesville, where guests board our historic railcars before departing north along the former Nickel Plate Road.

During the ride, guests can enjoy the scenic countryside of Northern Hamilton County while relaxing in comfortable seating aboard our vintage passenger cars. Once the train arrives in Arcadia, guests will step off the train and spend time exploring the fall festivities taking place near the historic Arcadia depot.

With local vendors, fall decorations, classic cars, and small-town charm, the Arcadia Fall Market is a wonderful way to experience the season.

After approximately 90 minutes in Arcadia, guests will reboard the train for the return trip back to Hobbs Station.

Seating Options

The Nickel Plate Express features several historic railcars, each offering a slightly different seating style.

Table Seating in Platinum and Diamond Class
Many of our passenger cars feature table seating with two seats on each side of a table. This is perfect for couples, families, and small groups who would like to sit together and relax during the ride.

Platinum class seating is sold by the 4-top table. Lap children are not allowed at our table seating for safety reasons. Maximum capacity at the table is 4. We cannot combine other seating or add a seat.

Diamond class seating is sold by the individual seat. If you purchase less than 4 tickets you may be sat with other passengers. Lap children are not allowed at our table seating.

Coach Seating
Similar to airline style seating. These comfortable seats allow plenty of legroom and space for families. Children ages 2 and under may ride free as a lap child. Please make sure to reserve a lap child seat at time of ticket purchase for our passenger counts.

Caboose
The caboose is the ultimate way to hear and feel the railroad tracks. This is open, bench style seating. We typically have the doors and windows open on this car. There are no restrooms onboard this car.

All seating is assigned prior to boarding, so guests in the same reservation will be seated together.

Drinks & Snacks Onboard

A small selection of beer, wine, fall cocktails, soft drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase onboard the train.

Selections may vary depending on the ride, but often include:

• Beer and wine
• Seasonal cocktails
• Soft drinks and bottled water
• Candy and light snacks

Outside food and beverages are not permitted onboard the train.
