This Saturday, the Nickel Plate Express will celebrate one-year of excursions in Hamilton County…and what a year it’s been! From Sept. 15, 2018-Sept. 15- 2019 the Nickel Plate Express has:
Hosted 14,000 passengers
Completed 150+ round trip excursions
Welcomed 25 employees to the Nickel Plate Express team
Received dozens of 5-star reviews
Been recognized by Reader’s Digest, Chicago Tribune & Midwest Living
This regional attraction and community asset wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our dedicated engineers, board members, sponsors and most importantly…YOU. Thanks to all those who have purchased a ticket to ride the train this season. Each ticket you purchase helps ensure that the train continues to chug through Hamilton County for years to come. Ticket revenue helps Nickel Plate Express to restore historic equipment, repair tracks and plan exciting and educational programs.
As the Nickel Plate Express embarks on a second year of operations, we’re excited to begin offering increased boarding opportunities in Forest Park and on the Noblesville historic square. Passengers can expect new programs that include family and adult dining, as well as educational rides.
While Nickel Plate Express is looking forward to a second year of growth, there are a few things that will not change:
We pledge to continue to run a safe operation.
We pledge to continue to support local businesses.
We pledge to continue offering exceptional customer service
We pledge to continue making railroad and local historical education a priority.
All aboard for Nickel Plate Express’ Second Season!
