Celebrating America’s birthday on the rails that helped grow and build our great nation is both fitting and poetic. As the crossroads of America, Indiana owes a special debt to the railroad.

In honor of that, the Nickel Plate Express will be celebrating Independence Day with rides on July 4th and 5th. Here’s everything you need to know if you’re riding the train Independence Day weekend:

What are my ride options this weekend?

Join us for short, 30-minute rides on July 4th at the Noblesville 4th of July festival. After your ride the train, enjoy free family activities in the park, plenty of food options and a beer garden! The family-friendly festival is free and open to the general public.

Take an hour long cruise on July 5th while enjoying a slice of apple pie in the historic dining car. The ticket includes pie and a glass of sweet tea or lemonade. All ages are welcome!

Where do I board?

Both July 4th and July 5th excursions board at Forest Park in Noblesville, IN. The address is 701 Cicero Road in Noblesville, IN.

Where do I park?

On July 4th, Forest Park will be a pedestrian-only area to allow safety for festival guests: no parking is available in the park. The City of Noblesville has organized a shuttle every 5 minutes to take guests to and from the park. See a full map of available parking and shuttle schedules here.

On July 5th, ample parking is available at Forest Park! Park anywhere in the park at 701 Cicero Road, Noblesville, IN.
